FileFacets appoints Nuvias as EMEA Distributor

GDPR deadline drives demand for data discovery technologies

London, England: 21/11/17: 10.00 GMT/11.00 CET - Privacy compliance and enterprise analytics company FileFacets has appointed Nuvias as its sole distributor in EMEA to drive international expansion and meet growing demand for its Enterprise ID data discovery products. These are fundamental to the discovery and management of personal and sensitive data, which is at the core of GDPR compliance.

FileFacets Enterprise ID offers an affordable and scalable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) online platform for companies from SMEs up to large enterprises. It performs advanced data discovery and content search of structured and unstructured data within corporate networks, servers, content management systems, email, desktops and laptops. The easy-to-deploy, hybrid-cloud solution identifies sensitive and personal information, removes redundant data and facilitates the secure transfer between data repositories. Artificial Intelligence capabilities expedite the classification of content and execution of business processes to handle personal data.

We are creating 2.5 quintillion bytes of data every day1, yet a recent Global Databerg Report suggested that 52 percent of all data stored by organisations globally is ‘dark’ data, meaning its content and value is unknown. Additionally, 33 percent of data is considered redundant.

“Organisations feel challenged as they contemplate GDPR, particularly with the hype surrounding it. Yet, at its core, GDPR is very simple: the discovery, protection, management and monitoring of personal data,” said Nuvias Group’s EVP Cyber Security, Ian Kilpatrick. “The first place to start is to identify and manage relevant data and FileFacets delivers these capabilities for SMEs to large enterprise, rapidly and cost-effectively. We already know from our channel partners that FileFacets is an ideal fit for our information security portfolio and provides a new point of entry for end-to-end GDPR, data discovery and security solutions.”

“With its presence in over 20 countries across EMEA and a proven track record in information security, this partnership with Nuvias will allow us to take our Enterprise ID solutions to major new markets. Data privacy and security have never been more important and businesses of all sizes are looking for practical, easy-to-use and affordable data search and discovery tools,” said Chris Perram, CEO at FileFacets.

FileFacets is available through all EMEA regions but Nuvias will focus initially on the UK and northern mainland Europe including DACH2, the Nordics, Hungary and Poland.

Nuvias’ Kilpatrick added: “Our mission is to deliver a common proposition, consistently delivered in every country, so we will be working closely with our resellers to meet regional market requirements and provide local support for FileFacets.”

Nuvias partners with Polycom in EMEA

Nuvias further grows its Unified Communications range across EMEA

London, UK: 9/11/17: 10.00 GMT - The fast-growing, value-added distributor Nuvias has signed a pan-EMEA distribution agreement with Polycom. The announcement follows a successful three-year relationship between Polycom and SIPHON in the UK and Benelux (SIPHON was acquired by Nuvias in 2016). The new, expanded relationship will continue through the Nuvias Unified Communications Practice.

Polycom web

Nuvias will focus on the integration of Polycom VoIP phones into complete end-to-end solutions for the hosted voice market.  Recent research by Cavell Group in the UK said the market had grown 11% over the last six months, and hosted VOIP users had now passed the 3 million mark, with much of that growth happening in the last couple of years.

Building on SIPHON’s success in the UK, which saw it become one of Polycom’s key global distributors, Nuvias will start the roll-out in France and Italy, followed by Germany and Spain. In addition to the hosted voice market, Nuvias will also offer complete Microsoft Skype for Business enterprise solutions using Polycom voice and video endpoints.

“Our expanded partnership with Nuvias will enable us to reach new markets in the EMEA region,” said Glynn Jones, VP EMEA Channels and Advanced Technology Group for Polycom (UK). “Nuvias has a strong portfolio of complementary technologies that our customers will benefit from when it comes to an end-to-end unified communications experience.”

Steve Harris, EVP Unified Communications for Nuvias (and formerly Managing Director of SIPHON), said:  “Polycom is a key part of our best-in-class strategy to deliver end-to-end unified communications solutions and support across EMEA. Polycom gives us leading-edge technology solutions along with a first-class understanding of UC markets and support at every stage of engagement.”

Nuvias Appointed as Sole Pan-EMEA Distributor for Dtex Systems – leaders in Advanced User Behaviour Intelligence

Dtex Systems targets growing insider threat solutions market in EMEA

Nuvias further expands its EMEA Cyber Security portfolio with Dtex Systems’ User Behavioural Intelligence solutions.

England and Benelux: 2/10/17: 10.00 BST/11.00 CETNuvias has been appointed as the sole pan-EMEA distributor for Advanced User Behaviour Intelligence leader Dtex Systems’ range of insider threat solutions. High-value distribution business Nuvias, whose Cyber Security Practice was created from the former security VAD Wick Hill, will work with Dtex to establish a channel network in EMEA and promote growth for the vendor. The initial focus will be on the UK and Benelux, with a later second stage aimed at DACH, The Nordics and France.

Nuvias is distributing the full range of Dtex’s monitoring solutions, which provide visibility and intelligence around user behaviour, gathering information from the endpoint. Dtex solutions use proprietary metadata for analysis, matching user workflows to known risks, as well as utilising behavioural learning. This highlights and provides forensic-level, end-to-end workflows to identify users with malicious intent and those who accidentally expose data.

Initially, Nuvias and Dtex will create a group of 20 partners, in the UK and Benelux, comprising security-focussed VARs and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). Nuvias will provide strong support with dedicated sales and pre-sales staff, partner training and other services to enable Dtex to scale more quickly and gain momentum in the market place.

Ian Kilpatrick, EVP Cyber Security, Nuvias Group, said: “We are seeing companies become ever more interested in security, thanks to continuing publicity on data breaches and compliance issues such as GDPR. Insider threats from malicious behaviour and bad cyber hygiene have traditionally been underrated but have always been a key element in the level of risk that companies face.
Visibility at the endpoint is critical to solving insider threats and this is Dtex’s focus, unlike many other insider threat solutions which concentrate on the network. Dtex can provide a high level of visibility and intelligence around what users are doing as well as proactively highlighting any potential risks before they take place. The market is ripe for this type of solution with recent data breaches drawing increased attention to the need for good cyber hygiene and internal monitoring within organisations.”

“Christy Wyatt, Dtex Systems CEO, said: “With Insider Threat representing more than half of all known breaches, enterprise customers today need strong analytics solutions and experienced security partners. Nuvias' experience in the security space makes them an ideal partner for Dtex and enterprise customers.”
